Realizing the Condo Market was slowing down, Sunny has focused its attention in the Hotel Market, making his first investment ( 35% 2018 ) in a successful limited service hotel delivering a cash on cash return of 14%. The Hampton Inn is delivering above budget returns.
Six Senses, Sevilla, Spain
Sunny formed a JV with ARD-ID Group in Spain, and bought ‘La Caprichosa’ to transform the magnificent property initially built by the Hearst Family in the early 19th century, into a Six Senses hotel to serve the high end lux portion of the market in the city of Seville.
B&B Hotel, Montijo, Portugal
Real Estate JV in Portugal with the https://www.casais.pt/en/ a leading construction and industrial company in Europe. The JV is initially funded to develop 485 keys in 5 B&B Hotels and one redevelopment of a shopping center. Sunny’s stake in the Montijo B&B Hotel is 112 Keys.
B&B Hotel, Oeiras, Portugal
Just a 20 minute car ride to Lisbon, and home to over 170,000 people, Oeiras is one of the most densely populated municipalities in Portugal. This is one of the many factors taken into consideration when Sunny’s JV with the Casais Group decided to begin the construction of a new B&B Hotel there. Sunny’s stake of the B&B Hotel in Oerias, Portugal is 91 Keys. Coming soon in 2022.
Palacios de Lavra y das Pedrosas, Lisbon, Portugal
Sunny realized that Portugal represents a high growth opportunity for Tourism. In 2019 they partnered 50/50 with ARD-id and found a Palace one block away from the Avenida Libertades. The plan is to develop this property into the best 114 room, 5 star hotel in Lisbon. Signed an Operating Agreement with Six Senses to operate this unique emblematic National Historic site. B&B Hotel, Algarve, Portugal
Algarve, Portugal’s fascinating blend of European and Middle Eastern/North African cultures makes it a hot spot for tourism. This is one of many reasons why Sunny’s JV with the Casais Group is currently developing a B&B hotel there. Sunny’s stake of the B&B Hotel in Algarve, Portugal is 89 Keys & 15K Retail. As the hub of the port wine industry, Gaia is home to many tourist attractions, which is one of the reasons why Sunny found it important to analyze the municipality for a development, and eventually, begin developing a B&B Hotel there.
